Who needs sunshine in the Pacific Northwest when love like this radiates down city streets? Jake and Robbie’s engagement session brought such vibrant energy to this hazy morning.

I was fairly new to the Portland area when we booked this session and Robbie & Jake really took the reins on location planning. Having lived in the city for years, they already had a well thought out vision. As a photographer, it was so much fun to trust their instincts and follow their lead.

This gallery and story really illustrates the beauty of a collaborative client/photographer relationship. We were able to get really creative in the nooks and crannies downtown and capture an elusive, editorial love story that defied the typical confines of a concrete jungle.
